Once in Royal David's city
stood a lowly cattle shed
Where a mother laid her baby
You'd do well to remember
the things he later said.

"In our efforts to not be offensive to people, we can be very offensive to God."
Francis Chan is an American Protestant author, teacher, and preacher. He is the former teaching pastor of the nondenominational Cornerstone Community Church, an Evangelical church in Simi Valley, California founded by Chan in 1994.
Born: 31 August 1967 (age 56 years), San Francisco, California, United States.
Author and Speaker: Francis Chan is a prominent Christian author and speaker known for his impactful books, including "Crazy Love," "Forgotten God," and "Erasing Hell." His writings often challenge readers to deepen their faith and live more devoted lives.
Founder of Cornerstone Community Church: Chan founded Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, California, in 1994. Under his leadership, the church grew significantly, emphasizing simplicity, discipleship, and outreach.
Emphasis on Radical Living: Chan is well-known for his emphasis on living a radical Christian life. He advocates for sacrificial living, intense commitment to following Jesus, and serving others, often questioning comfortable or complacent Christianity.
Humble Living: Despite his success, Chan is known for his humble lifestyle. He and his family have made significant financial sacrifices, including giving away much of his book royalties and reducing their standard of living to support charitable causes and missions.
House Church Movement: In recent years, Chan has been involved in promoting and participating in the house church movement. He left Cornerstone Community Church to focus on a simpler, more organic form of church that meets in homes and emphasizes intimate community and discipleship. He has been working on this vision through his involvement with We Are Church, a network of house churches in San Francisco.

Current Thoughts
Based on my experience, in America (and other more progressive countries), it’s so easy to lose sight of what it means and entails to be a Christian. The Bible tells us to vilify ourselves, sell everything we own, help and love others in the same we would like to be helped and loved. When we have choices, we choose the comfortable route opposed to radical Christianity.

TERFs and various transphobes are scapegoating trans men and testosterone, even though the shooter was not trans. In fact she seems to have been one of their own someone who self ID'd as a radical feminist and wanted to kill all men. Absolutely disgusting behavior.

western women in privileged countries, when feminists from the global south tell you to watch out for white men and that your superiority complex won't save you, it is not an insult, it is a warning
what happens to women in the global south isn't happening because we have dark skin or non-european cultures. the threat that terrorizes us openly that makes you feel pity for us is not unique to us. that threat is in your bed, too.
#radblr#feminism#how many times did we tell y'all that there's no real cultural difference between men no matter their skin color or ethnicity#how many times did we tell y'all the hijab is not the only religious threat to women and christianity can absolutely be draconian#how many times did we argue about culture vs economy and tell you that what's happening in iran wasn't inevitable because of those damn#brown people and their bakcwards ways and had everything to do with the real threat of male supremacy in whatever form#i really hope you stop getting radicalized only when you're directly inconvenienced

I love radfems that aren’t afraid to criticise certain religions.
I would like to see more of it tbh, a lot more.
I live in a country that is not very religious, and so sometimes feminists in my country don’t address it as much as they should. Think about the entire worlds population and the prevalence of religion in society, its impact on culture, the government, the law. Almost all of the oppressive ideology promoted by major religions is aimed at women.
Here’s just a few things that major religions promote/justify:
- Child marriage
- Sex slavery
- Purity culture
- Modesty culture
- Victim blaming
- Less inheritance for women
- Women’s witness testimony worth less than a man
- Silencing of women in public spaces
- Polygamy only for men
- Gendered stereotypes
- No financial freedom for woman
- Physical abuse
- Emotional and verbal abuse
The list goes on and on and on, this just scrapes the surface.
I honestly argue that these religions should be one of main things we address and fight against. They are the blueprint of modern patriarchy.

The misconception of Christ
The common modern view of Jesus Christ is warped and a totally wrong view from what Christ actually is.
The modern view of Christ is of a kind, almost "chill dude" who accepted all and told not to judge, this is very very very wrong!
Let us start with the first one, a kind man, this is true, he is a kind man, but that does not mean he didn't get angry, because he did. For example, when he went to the synagogue (which had been turned into a market) he was extremely angry at the shopkeepers and flipped tables and chased them with a whip.
The second misconception is that he accepted all. Again is this wrong, he accepted people who came to him, not of those who blasphemed against the father.
The third misconception is that he told not to judge, this is also very wrong, what he DID tell us, was to not judge based on appearance but according to righteous judgement, see John 7:24.
When he returns, he comes with a sword, as Matthew 10:34-36 states.
So overall, Christ is our saviour, a kind man who forgives us when we repent, but do not think he accepts our sinful behaviour if we keep sinning, we must pray for guidance away from sin.
Amen.

religion will be like, it's because women talk to animals and eat fruit that childbirth is so painful, and the soil so hard to work! Not because we took away all of the midwives and created horrendous agriculture practices
